July 1, 2016

Monster, the innovative leader of high-performance audio products, and legendary rock icon Joe Perry have announced that they will pursue a broad collaboration that promises to enhance the listening experience for rock and roll fans worldwide. The new collaboration builds on a personal and music industry relationship between Noel Lee and Perry that spans decades and brings together two kindred spirits with diverse skill sets.

Joe Perry, co-founder, co-producer, principal songwriter and electrifying lead guitarist of AEROSMITH, is recognized as one of the cornerstones of American rock music. He has helped lead the band to global success with more than 150 million albums sold as well as critical acclaim, including his induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and Songwriters Hall Of Fame. Perry's trademark blend of gritty blues guitar and distinctive riffs on countless multi-platinum albums has resulted in accolades and recognition including four Grammys, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Awards, 12 MTV Video Music Awards and an Academy Award nomination. Last year, Joe Perry, Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp recorded an album as the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES. HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES have just finished their European tour and kick off their U.S. tour next week.

Noel Lee is a highly regarded pioneer of advanced audio products. In addition to creating new segments of the audio industry and introducing innovations that began with improvements to key audio connections (e.g. Monster cables),he created the sound and technology for Beats headphones that changed the way people listen to music.

Monster's Lee/Perry collaboration creates a powerful dynamic that builds on a strong and solid personal friendship. Perry was one of the first celebrities to become an honorary "Monster," contributing to the successful "Powered by Monster" campaign that spotlighted satisfied Monster customers within the ranks of the musical elite. Noel Lee's talent for innovation, keen eye for design and "golden ear" for sound will be harmonized with Joe Perry's experience as a multi-platinum recording artist, and rock and roll mojo.

Perry noted: "I'm proud to announce that I'm officially part of the Monster family. I'm excited to represent their new line of products aimed at producing the best sound for rock and roll and classic rock. I've been using Monster equipment ever since I met Noel, the 'Head Monster,' decades ago. I'm looking forward to being on the road testing some of this new gear on the upcoming HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES tour." He concluded: "It's great to be on the team that are creating a new line directed at rock and roll that will bring the sound to the fans the way it was meant to be heard."

Perry will have an active advisory and collaborative role in a wide range of applications, from new product development to fine-tuning existing products for optimum sound, with a particular emphasis on optimizing the rock and roll experience.

Lee expanded on the collaboration: "We are committed to give our Monster customers the best audio experience they can have. It's not just technical — it's emotion, dynamics, and depth. We have brought in a master, Joe Perry, to work with me and our audio engineers to develop a listening experience that is rock and roll at its greatest!"
